You and Your Two Heaters~

A/n: Wrote while on my period and wanted some comfort, then I remembered that I can write and made this. Not proofread, might edit later, might not, who knows ♪⁠～⁠(⁠´⁠ε⁠｀⁠ ⁠). Anyways, enjoy⁠♡

You lay on your side within the warm safety of your nest on your bed, accompanied by your too big of a dog cuddled into your stomach called Lillie. She had joined you after hearing you whimpering from your cramps and after ensuring her you were in fact not injured, she cuddled right up against your lower stomach where it hurt the most. Because of this though, she ended up taking your heater of a boyfriend's side of the bed like she owned the spot. With a hand combing through her fur and the other holding up your phone, everything was peaceful even with your uterus deciding to curse you.

“Oh I see how it is,” that familiar gruff voice makes you smile as you turn your head to find your loveable boyfriend standing at the doorway looking playfully offended. “I leave for only an hour and I come back to have my spot stolen,” he huffs out as he sets a grocery bag down and strides to our bed.

“You snooze, you lose?” You slightly giggle out as you feel the thump of Lillie's tail wagging on the sheets. Lillie only nuzzles further into you as you laugh lightly at the cute sight. Your boyfriend mutters something along the lines of “you're lucky you're cute” before he gives you a small peck to your cheek and forces his way into your little nest.

“Did you generate more blankets while I was away? Cause there's definitely more in here than when I left,” he teases as he embraces you and adjusts you all. Lillie moved to lay more on top of you as you lay on your back, her head still on your stomach and providing warmth for your aching muscles.

“Not my fault if Lillie added some more,” you coo as you give your pup some head scratches while all three of you get comfortable again. You wince as a cramp hits harder than before and you're tempted to curl into yourself if it weren't for Lillie and your boyfriend helping you.

“I got ya princess, ‘m right here,” he purrs into your ear as he massages your pelvic region and places little butterfly kisses all along your face. You feel a small lick to your hand from Lillie and you smile softly at the boundless love surrounding you like a heavy blanket. You sink further into your little nest and lay happily with your dog and boyfriend as they comfort you through the pain. You get so comfortable that you doze off after a while, listening to the gentle sound of your boyfriend's heartbeat and your pup’s soft snoring while a movie plays in the background. Nothing could be better than this…except minus the period pain.

2009 MONKEY KING ART DUMPPPP from most recent to oldest

I get burnt out very fast so I might not finish this Wip for a while. I do however really like how its turning out and have a whole folder of old 2009 fanart so I wanted to share.

ALSO! I really love the art style of 2009. Especially the way the draw limbs so I tried to recreate it as best I could. I gave Liu’er or ‘Six Ears’ darker skin because when he gets possessed his skin gets darker. I thought that was….an interesting choice. So I decided to just make it dark, im also a fan of warmer colors so its a warm tone.

I have a whole theory and idea. In my Au Im going to give the Demon King of Confusion/Havoc black fur so I want to change Liu’er’s to black as well, the reason for this isn’t going to be explained here. Im still working on designing ideas. Which you can see I was tracing to play with colors. This was originally going to be a fic but I’m a perfectionist so I struggle with plot holes.

Four months ago also DW this is not a ship, I was upset that Liu’er and Jade Rabbit didn’t get an arch together when they were our only main cast left on the mountain when Wukong went to train and the fruit baby snuck off to join him.

Because seriously He gets possessed and she points out that he’s acting unusual but then that plot went NO WHERE. So I made art if Jade Rabbit found him after the demon put that mark on him. As you can see I didn’t bother cleaning it up.

AND SHES A HEALER WHO WANTS TO HELP PEOPLE BUT DIDNT HELP HIM? suspicious. Also…the two of them are love interest coded so I really wanted them to become friends and bond over their weird ears. I WANTED THEM TO BE GIRLBOSSES TOGETHER 😭

I've literally not drawn in years- I'd say since my early to mid teens. I've also never actually drawn anything digitally, haha. It's something that I have always wished I could be good at, but I would always get frustrated at how things would turn out, and so I essentially stopped.

However, this is definitely something that I wish that I could develop as time goes on. I'm hoping that by this time next year, I could see an obvious improvement in how I draw. It kinda feels like 14 year old me was way better than current me hahaha, but that's what I get for quitting, I guess.

For now, take this doodle of @replacementcodeau 's Pomni. I love her to bits! ☆ Super excited to see where the story goes! And thank you for inspiring me to give drawing another go. :)

Literalmente no he dibujado en años, diría que desde mi adolescencia. En realidad, tampoco he dibujado nada digitalmente, jaja. Es algo en lo que siempre deseé poder ser buena, pero siempre me frustraba cómo me salian los dibujos, así que básicamente lo dejé.

Sin embargo, esto es definitivamente algo que me gustaría poder desarrollar a medida que pasa el tiempo. Espero que para esta fechas el año que viene, pueda ver una mejora evidente en mi forma de dibujar. Definitivamente se siente como si a los 14 años yo fuera mucho mejor que la yo actual jajaja, pero eso es lo que me pasa por dejar de dibujar, supongo.

Por ahora, toma este doodle de Pomni de @replacementcodeau. ¡La amo! ☆ ¡Súper emocionada de ver a dónde va la historia! Y gracias por inspirarme a darle otra oportunidad al dibujo. :)

music making followerrrrs i have a question for you about. programs and soundfonts and where to get them/utilise them

getting ahead of myself perhaps (though i likely need the extra time for. practice. given my musical ability is 'can play both hands on the piano so long as you don't scare me with anything above a child's level') but wondering what the 'reccomendation for amateurs' is wrt: making something that sounds snes-adjacent.

i have a copy of the.... well named... program Magix Music Maker from a charity bundle years ago, and some vague knowledge of famitracker. So while i'd like some software suggestions im not totally out on my ass on that one. but no idea how i use/get soundfonts/custom instruments tbh.

where i'm actually going to need to utilise this is like. a ways off so it's not urgent, i've got time to learn-- but mostly I know what I *need* is the ability to get something sounding 16-bit, and to be able to seperate out the channels, play them individually, slow them down, chop them up, etc. And my budget is Nil so I'm going to shoulder this myself where I can, since even if I could get my hands on the stems/channels of someone else's royalty-free stuff, intentionally mangling it feels a touch rude if i'm otherwise using it wholesale(?)

I was at a bookstore with a friend the other day and I was looking at a book in German that I was interested in buying, but then I saw that it was a translation and had originally been written in French

I commented idly to my friend "Sometimes I don't buy a book because it's a translation and I always prefer to read in the original language when possible" and she said in an agreeing-with-me way, "Yeah it would make more sense to read it in English"

and I realized she assumed I meant English when I said "original language"

but I couldn't bring myself to say "Yeah, or French or Dutch or Spanish or Italian or Portuguese or one of the other languages I read..." because like. who says that kind of thing.
